years ago i found this bootleg cover art archive that's maintained by someone who helps with old games ru: piper.old-games.ru/some aren't that interesting, but there's a lot of odd ones that stand out, such as this cover for STALKER: Clear Sky - Reborn, which *is* basically an absurdist art masterpiece in the form of a near-total conversion for STALKER. i'm amazed that someone would actually try this and then consider publishing it in bootleg keep cases in order to be sold at a flea market. nothing on this cover really prepares you for what Reborn is: I remember one guy made a video about pirated games covers from the 90s. youtu.be/asJdSYSGbR8

Somehow the first two Sakura Wars exist on Russian language. These are official localisations. English translations of these games do not exist as far as I know. This rarely happens when a game has another language in addition to its native language, but it's not English.

This rarely happens when a game has another language in addition to its native language, but it's not English. i've encountered a few twists of this: there's this weird but endearing rusjank sci-fi shooter called Neuro that only got an official English release in Taiwan of all places; as far as i know, most people don't really speak English there, only Cantonese, so it's definitely curious
edit:
i did some digging on legendsworld and found a scan of the DVD for the English release that only happened officially in Taiwan (resized this so that it's not obscenely huge lmao):

Have you ever wanted to show a cool thing, but there's no English translation?
